My training and experience
As a psychotherapist in training with Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP), I am supervised weekly by an experienced psychotherapist.
I bring extensive experience from my 29 years as an Occupational Therapist where I have gained valuable counselling skills. My time volunteering as a phone counsellor for Youthline and a rainbow helpline in Britain, as well training in Focusing add to my skill set.
I am registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate. I am also a student member of Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP).

Email and confidentiality
Emails to kirsty-therapy are checked regularly but are not monitored continuously. They should not be used for urgent or emergency situations. For your privacy, please refrain from leaving detailed confidential information in emails, as it is usually best to discuss sensitive matters in person. The confidentiality of electronic information cannot be fully guaranteed in the current digital landscape.

Ethical commitments
Kirsty adheres to the ethical guidelines and code of ethics set forth by the Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP). My practice is guided by these principles to ensure a safe, respectful, and effective therapeutic environment for all clients.
